Established in 1988, Wimborne-based Vertical has gone from strength to strength to become one of the UK’s leading integrated marketing communications agencies operating in the technology, industrial and commercial business-to-business (B2B) sectors.

The agency’s early areas of expertise lay with technical PR, working with clients such as Microsoft, Siemens and Panasonic. Over the years, Vertical has broadened its skills and services into an integrated package, serving clients both in the UK and internationally. By offering strategic marketing consultancy, online and direct marketing, PR, creative and digital design, advertising and exhibition stand design and build, as well as full return on investment analysis, Vertical can meet all the needs of clients’ campaigns and show in black and white where the results are coming from.

Paul Barlow, managing director, said: “Achieving 20 years in business is a milestone. During this time the whole business world and the approach to marketing communications has changed considerably. As an agency we’ve always been at the forefront of our industry, adapting quickly to market trends and staying ahead of the times. For example, we designed and built our first client website in 1995, and started giving client seminars on digital marketing back in 1997, at a time when many were debating whether or not there was a future in email or the web!

Vertical’s approach is based on knowledge and understanding - to fully understand from the outset clients’ strategies, technologies, products and markets. This has proved to be a winning formula, one that has helped to retain clients for many years and has earned us the reputation of being ‘the agency that speaks your language.’"

Roger Gibbs, a technology client since 1991, said: “The winning and losing of business starts with how you are perceived, which is why we entrust the protection of our brand, plus the balance of design, copy and technical information to Vertical. Over the years they have given us sound advice and their understanding of our technology and market is critical to the success we enjoy.”

“I’m excited about the future too,” said Paul Barlow. “Marketing is changing so quickly; traditional methods are declining in some markets, being overtaken by rich media and the web as a whole. Plus, there’s the rise of viral marketing. And with two new clients on board in the last month alone, 2008 is set to be another great year.”

Whether you are a small start-up or a major multi-national company, Vertical can help you develop a marketing strategy and from that a marketing communications plan, to increase your sales and build your brands.
07/05/2008 13:34:21 Refreshed, re-rendered and reloaded http://www.vertical-marketing.com/newsItem.asp?id=42
Re-launched in 2007, the Vertical website is a key part of our business collateral. However, changing design styles, new technology and client requirements mean that you need to keep it fresh and up to date. This has led us to revamp our website.

The layout has been improved, allowing pages to fit the content rather than the content being constrained by the design. We’re still using our striking branding, but the navigation and layout have been improved to make it more user-friendly and expandable. New additions to the site include a downloads section, where we share our knowledge and information about various aspects of marketing communications and you can download brochures and business guides. We’ve also added an exhibitions page – Vertical has always been able to meet your exhibition requirements, and here we illustrate just a couple of examples of what we can do.

Andy Barber, our digital designer said, “It’s important to regularly review your website's design, content and layout. Last year’s website inspired a redesign of our brochure and other collateral. This year we’ve gone full circle, with the brochure being the major influence on the design of the new site. This feedback loop ensures that we can re-new and refresh elements of our marketing toolkit piece by piece, but still keep our brand consistent.”

We always welcome feedback and so if you have any comments please email agency@vertical-marketing.com
08/04/2008 15:20:46 Rebound Electronics http://www.vertical-marketing.com/newsItem.asp?id=47
Vertical has just been appointed by Rebound Electronics to redesign their logo.
